Set on almost 1,500 square metres in Sydney’s inner west, Endeavour Early Education caters to children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. The brief called for a contemporary yet inviting building, designed to sit comfortably within its urban context. The external design reflects the residential nature of the surrounding suburb of Concord, while the textured façade and bold entrance evoke a sense of fun, brightness and cheer.

This theme continues throughout. The centre soaks up all-day sun with its northerly aspect, and its double height ceilings create a dramatic sense of space. A central feature of the design, the outdoor playground offers plenty of possibility for fun and discovery, including a sandpit and cubby house for the littlest ones and, for children aged 2 years and up, raised garden beds, a mud/dirt play area, a bike track, and a water play area complete with pump and rocky creek bed.
